About Me
Hello! My name is Dallas Haselhorst (hazel-horse). I have worked as a general IT and information security professional for over 20 years. I received a PoliSci minor and concurrent bachelor degrees in Information Networking and Telecommunications (INT) and Computer Information Systems (CIS) from Fort Hays State University. Go Tigers! During my last few years of college and for several years after, I worked in healthcare IT. I then founded and co-owned a managed IT service provider until its acquisition in July 2016 . After assisting with the transition, it was time to move on.
In early 2019, I completed the final requirements for my Master of Science in Information Security Engineering (MSISE) degree from the SANS Technology Institute (STI). I hold numerous industry certifications including the CISSP, GSEC, GCIH, GCCC, GCPM, GPEN, GMON, GCIA, GWAPT, and GDSA. I’m also GSE #231. When not working and/or finding new angles on infosec issues, I love learning and helping opensource projects. I also enjoy tinkering with all things technology, helping others learn tech, molding my daughters into card carrying nerds, and spending time with my family.
